Pumping iron
To gym or not to gym?
This is the question plaguing many aspiring chick magnets out there. Just one of society's ever so desired social norms - 'The physique of the Gods'. Those sculpted washboard abs, those perky pecs & bulky biceps - what a specimen of true perfection. For some it's genetic, for others it's hard work & for a select few its merely synthetic. Which ever way you look at it, girls cant get enough of it & guys obsess over it.
Look, I can see why guys jump on the roids - its simple, yet again they are responding to the social norm which shouts out that 'bigger is better & the more like Arnie you look the more appealing you become to those of the opposite extraction'. I reckon it's simply a case of penis envy! Compensating for size in that other department fellas? Or is it the fact that they are trying to cover up their other insecurities? I mean if it were for the sake of health, I wouldnt make a mention, but there are so many 'Top Heavy' blokes out there, it just proves that 90% of time spent in the gym is devoted to the good ole' arms, back & shoulders routine.
So much effort, so much cash, so much determination - I say bring back the 60's or the 70's, the days of hairy chests, flabby stomachs, handlebar moustaches & Tom Selleck! A guy could get any chick he wanted with minimal effort & he was rated according the amount of hair he had stuffed under his shirt. Why should hair necessarily be viewed as a bad thing? I mean c'mon ladies, think of it as a cushion, or a playground even, where you could lose yourselves & sleep for hours. Think of the comfort!? No one likes a hard pillow do they?
Again, I digress - long story short, guys are doing everything in their power to achieve the 'ultimate physique', hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars per year on gym memberships, health supplements, beautician appointments (and even roids)! I mean we've all heard of the notorious back, sack & crack wax havent we? Hasn't the male body been de-man-ified enough? I mean im all for metrosexuality, but where do we draw the line? Boy George?!?!
Down with waxing, down with roids - bring on the hair & bring on the physique man was sposed to have!
Thats all.
